Governor Josh Shapiro and Adjutant General John Pippy have inaugurated the Lickdale Veterans’ Outreach Center in Pennsylvania. This new facility, which opened to the public on June 3, is designed to provide walk-in services and support for veterans and their families. It is part of a broader initiative by the Shapiro Administration to enhance services for the nearly 700,000 veterans living in Pennsylvania.
The center represents a significant step forward in supporting veterans across the Commonwealth, including those residing in Lebanon County and nearby areas such as Dauphin, Berks, Lancaster, and Schuylkill counties. Governor Shapiro emphasized the importance of caring for veterans who have served the nation: “Our veterans have sacrificed for us, serving our nation to defend our freedoms — and they deserve a Commonwealth that cares for and invests in them.”
Governor Shapiro expressed his honor at participating in the ribbon-cutting ceremony: “It’s an honor to be here today to cut the ribbon on Pennsylvania’s first in-person veterans’ resource center.” He further highlighted his administration's commitment to providing tangible support: “We owe our veterans more than just our gratitude — we owe them real support.”
Adjutant General John Pippy also participated in the event alongside Mr. Marc Ferraro, Executive Deputy Secretary for the Department of Military and Veteran Affairs.
