The results of an efficacy analysis on the Elevate platform have been presented, highlighting its role in enhancing classroom learning conditions. Developed by the Project for Education Research That Scales, Elevate is a tool designed to assist teachers in gathering insights from students, reflecting on feedback, selecting instructional practices, and assessing changes in student perceptions.
The study focused on the 2023 Direct Support Implementation Model of Elevate to determine its impact on both students and teachers. Researchers examined the relationship between Elevate and various factors such as students' course grades, academic dispositions, perceptions of school climate, as well as teachers' well-being and self-reported classroom learning conditions.
While no direct evidence was found linking the use of Elevate with significant improvements in primary student and teacher outcomes, there were indications that it might positively influence how students perceive their teachers' appreciation of student voice and care. This aligns with Elevate's goal of using student feedback to shape classroom practices.
The study also explored how these relationships varied across different student characteristics and subjects.
