“To Vermont students, this is a fresh opportunity to learn, grow, and discover what inspires you. I encourage you to stay curious, work hard, and take care of one another as you begin this new journey,” Saunders said.

She also expressed appreciation for those working in schools: “To our educators and school staff, thank you for your dedication, creativity, and tireless commitment to Vermont’s students. The work you do each day shapes lives and strengthens our communities in profound ways.”

Saunders concluded by emphasizing hope and collaboration: “A new school year always brings a sense of possibility. Together, let’s approach it with hope, kindness, and determination to make this a meaningful year for every school community.”
