The Colorado Department of Education will hold the Elevating Excellence Conference on September 17 and 18 at the Adams County Government Building in Brighton. The event is open to teachers from all content areas and grade levels across the state.

The conference will offer more than 40 sessions that focus on strategies to improve student outcomes through effective instructional practices. The department aims to bring together teams of leaders and educators from districts, BOCES, and schools.

“By bringing teams of leaders and educators from across districts, BOCES, and schools, we can collectively focus on what matters most—engaging students, accelerating outcomes, strengthening the educator workforce, and building operational excellence in every community. I encourage educators and leaders at every level to join us for this important event,” said Susana Córdova, Colorado Commissioner of Education.

The event is free for participants. It is intended to be especially useful for core instructional and general education teachers as well as those involved in federal programs, special education, English language development, BOCES staff, and other local educational providers.

Registration for the conference will remain open until Friday, September 12.

The Colorado Department of Education’s stated vision is to create equitable educational environments where all students and staff thrive. The department serves Colorado’s 178 school districts and BOCES by working to improve student outcomes and ensuring access to high-quality schools throughout the state.
