The Presidential AI Challenge has opened its doors to students and educators in Louisiana, as well as across the United States, encouraging them to use artificial intelligence (AI) to address challenges in their local communities. The initiative is part of the nationwide celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
The challenge aims to foster innovation and prepare participants for the future by promoting early training in responsible technology use. It seeks to increase interest and confidence among young people in using AI tools.
Students from kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to design projects that explore, develop, or apply AI methods with a focus on real community needs. Educators can participate by sharing creative strategies for teaching about AI or integrating AI tools into K–12 classrooms.
According to organizers, “Participants will help shape the future by proposing innovative, ethical, and practical applications of AI that reflect local priorities and possibilities.”
More information about how to participate can be found on the Presidential AI Challenge webpage.
