PennDOT Deputy Secretary for Driver and Vehicle Services Kara Templeton will lead a panel discussion with students and faculty at Northeastern High School in Manchester on October 21, 2025. The event, scheduled from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, is part of Teen Driver Safety Week, which runs from October 19 to October 25.
The panel will include Dr. Carrie Rowe, Acting Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Education; Captain Adam Reed, Assistant Director for the Pennsylvania State Police Office of Community Engagement; David Buono, Pennsylvania Deputy Insurance Commissioner; Dr. Jason M. Bottiglieri, Superintendent of Northeastern School District; and Chad Forry, Northeastern High School driver instructor.
The discussion aims to emphasize the importance of driver safety among teens. In addition to students and faculty present at Northeastern High School, participants from other high schools across the state will join via livestream.
Media representatives are instructed to arrive after 10:00 AM and can interview panel members between 10:30 and 10:45 AM. Press badges and driver's licenses are required for entry.
