Pennsylvania officials will honor the winners of the 2025 School Bus Safety Poster Contest and the statewide School Bus Safety Competition at an event scheduled for October 22. The ceremony will take place at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg.
Dios Arroyo, Director of Driver Licensing for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), and Corporal Zeina Black, Supervisor for the School Bus Safety Division within the Pennsylvania State Police Commercial Vehicle Safety Division, are set to recognize students and drivers who excelled in these competitions.
This year’s poster contest winners represent schools from Allegheny, Bradford, Montgomery, and Jefferson counties. The top school bus drivers come from Chester and Lancaster counties.
The event is organized by PennDOT and the Pennsylvania State Police to highlight school bus safety awareness across the state. According to PennDOT, such initiatives aim to promote safe practices among both students and professional drivers.
