Character.org, established in 1993, works to encourage individuals of all ages to demonstrate and promote core values that influence decisions and behavior. The organization supports people in schools, organizations, workplaces, communities, and families worldwide who advocate for character development.
Character.org is recognized for its 11 Principles Framework for Schools: A Guide to Cultivating a Culture of Character. This framework was created by school leaders and researchers specializing in character education. Over the past two decades, more than 1,200 schools have received recognition from Character.org as National Schools of Character.
