Attorney General Sunday announces arrests in Carbon County drug trafficking case

Attorney General Dave Sunday has announced the arrest of seven individuals in connection with a drug trafficking operation based in Carbon County. The authorities also seized several pounds of methamphetamine, fentanyl/heroin, and marijuana during the operation.

Cruz "June" Rodriguez has been identified as the leader of the organization. He is charged along with Elijah Marie Camacho, Justin Paul Heacock, Christopher Hazlett, Kayla Marie Evert, and Jose Nieves-Feliciano.

According to investigators, Rodriguez maintained control over his co-conspirators through threats and by displaying a firearm.

Attorney General Dave Sunday was joined by Carbon County District Attorney Michael Greek in making the announcement.
