North Dakota is moving forward with its BRIDGE K-12 Data Modernization Initiative, a project led by the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI) to improve how schools manage and use student information. The initiative aims to connect districts, educators, and state partners through a single, secure system.
A key part of the BRIDGE project is the transition from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus as the statewide student information system (SIS). Starting July 1, 2026, all school districts in North Dakota will use Infinite Campus. This change is intended to standardize data across schools, enhance privacy and security for student and family information, reduce administrative workload, and provide real-time data insights for instruction and decision-making.
According to NDDPI, “BRIDGE isn’t just a technology upgrade—it’s about building stronger connections between data, systems, and people. The project brings together state and local partners to enhance the way North Dakota collects, reports, and uses education information to support student success.”
Currently, districts are involved in engagement meetings, completing readiness checklists, and attending training sessions in preparation for the migration to Infinite Campus. These activities will continue throughout 2025 and into early 2026.
To help staff prepare for this transition, a series of Infinite Campus Fundamentals training sessions are being offered. These courses are designed for staff members who will play an active role in their district’s implementation—especially Technology Coordinators and SIS Administrators. Participants will learn how to navigate the new system efficiently before moving on to more advanced training phases.
Each training session runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CST (7 a.m.–3 p.m. MT) with up to 50 participants per session. Upcoming sessions are scheduled for November 12–14; December 2–4; and December 9–11 in 2025.
Districts must confirm their implementation team members with their Project Manager and ensure that each has access enabled through Campus Passport before registering for training.
The BRIDGE team is also holding live office hours on November 19 at noon and again at 4 p.m., providing opportunities for questions and discussion about the project. Recordings from October’s office hours are available for those who missed them.
More resources—including updates on training schedules—are available on the BRIDGE project page or by contacting the team at BRIDGE@nd.gov.
