As Chair of the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency over the past three years, Davis said he has overseen several initiatives aimed at improving public safety. These efforts include investing in community partners and supporting first responders. According to Davis, these programs have contributed to a significant decrease in gun violence rates across Pennsylvania.
Davis stated, "Addressing and reducing gun violence has always been a core issue for the Lieutenant Governor since an act of gun violence came to his community when he was a teenager."
He added, "In the last three years as Chair of the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, the Lieutenant Governor has been able to implement multiple programs to improve public safety, invest in our community partners, and support our first responders. Through this work we are seeing gun violence rates drop at historic levels across the Commonwealth."
