Round Rock Independent School District issued the following announcement.

Community feedback is sought on the Pre-K system and materials that will be proposed for use for the 2021-2022 school year.

Samples of materials submitted for consideration can be found on the Proclamation 2021 Pre-K Adoption Samples website

Community members may submit feedback by completing the Proclamation 2021 Community Survey. This survey will remain open from Jan. 12 to Jan. 19 and all comments received will be submitted to the instructional materials selection committee to be reviewed prior to the selection committee vote on the English and Spanish Pre-K System to be recommended for adoption by the Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees during their regular March meeting. The English and Spanish Pre-K System adopted by the Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees is scheduled to go into classrooms during the 2021–2022 school year.

In-person attendance at Board meetings is currently limited to Trustees and essential Round Rock ISD staff members due to COVID-19 precautions. This will be a virtual, public meeting that allows for public comment before materials are adopted by the Board. The Board shall approve final selections and final selections shall be recorded in the Board minutes. More information can be found on the Board Meeting website.
