Sunset is drawing near for a number of educators that will vacate their profession for greener pastures at the end of this school year.

The Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) will honor its retiring members in June with a virtual recognition during the TASSP Summer Workshop, the association reported in a press release. The Josten’s Night of the Stars Virtual Ceremony honoring the TASSP Texas Heroes will be from 6 to 7 p.m. The zoom link to the ceremony will be provided to participants in May.

Members in good standing will be presented with an award and Texas Heroes photo album.

To be eligible for participation, those retiring need to have been members of the association for 10 years and have completed at least 25 years in education. Those wishing to participate need are asked to download the form that can be located on the TASSP site and fill it out, remembering to send a high-resolution photo in a professional yearbook style.
