Report: North Shore School District spent $18,007 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at North Shore School District 112 was up 11.2 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Lake County school district spent $16,190 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $18,007 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 4,309 to 3,881 students over the same period.

North Shore's spending in 2019-20 was 24.3 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
