Report: Scott Morgan School District spent $11,486 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Scott Morgan Community Unit School District 2 was up 9.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Scott County school district spent $10,494 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,486 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 227 to 220 students over the same period.

Scott Morgan's spending in 2019-20 was 20.7 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
