Report: Benjamin School District spent $18,310 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Benjamin School District 25 was up 19.1 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Dupage County school district spent $15,375 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $18,310 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 636 to 621 students over the same period.

Benjamin's spending in 2019-20 was 26.3 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
