Report: Spoon River Valley School District spent $13,729 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Spoon River Valley Community Unit School District 4 was up 12.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Fulton County school district spent $12,188 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,729 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 357 to 297 students over the same period.

Spoon River Valley's spending in 2019-20 was 5.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
