Report: Somonauk School District spent $12,307 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Somonauk Community Unit School District 432 was up 16.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Dekalb County school district spent $10,537 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,307 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 808 to 806 students over the same period.

Somonauk's spending in 2019-20 was 15.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
