Report: Bloomington School District spent $12,995 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Bloomington Public Schools District 87 was up 11.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Mclean County school district spent $11,668 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,995 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 5,455 to 5,198 students over the same period.

Bloomington's spending in 2019-20 was 10.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
