Report: Joppa-Maple Grove School District spent $14,499 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Joppa-Maple Grove Community Unit School District 38 was up 29.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Massac County school district spent $11,173 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,499 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 283 to 243 students over the same period.

Joppa-Maple Grove's spending in 2019-20 was 0 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
