Report: Sesser-Valier School District spent $9,791 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Sesser-Valier Community Unit School District 196 was down 0.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Franklin County school district spent $9,847 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,791 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 690 to 629 students over the same period.

Sesser-Valier's spending in 2019-20 was 32.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
