Report: Washington School District spent $11,069 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Washington District 50 Schools was up 27.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Tazewell County school district spent $8,680 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,069 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 780 to 688 students over the same period.

Washington's spending in 2019-20 was 23.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
