Report: Meridian School District spent $14,434 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Meridian Community Unit School District 101 was up 3.3 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Pulaski County school district spent $13,975 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,434 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 522 to 443 students over the same period.

Meridian's spending in 2019-20 was 0.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
