Report: Mahomet-Seymour School District spent $9,874 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Mahomet-Seymour Community Unit School District 3 was up 10.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Champaign County school district spent $8,940 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,874 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 3,053 to 3,220 students over the same period.

Mahomet-Seymour's spending in 2019-20 was 31.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
