Report: West Prairie School District spent $11,361 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at West Prairie Community Unit School District 103 was up 4.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Mcdonough County school district spent $10,872 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,361 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 615 to 621 students over the same period.

West Prairie's spending in 2019-20 was 21.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
