Report: Mulberry Grove School District spent $9,532 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Mulberry Grove Community Unit School District 1 was down 1.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Bond County school district spent $9,705 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,532 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 425 to 383 students over the same period.

Mulberry Grove's spending in 2019-20 was 34.2 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
