Report: Creston School District spent $13,619 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Creston Community Consolidated School District 161 was up 7.1 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Ogle County school district spent $12,712 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,619 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 99 to 92 students over the same period.

Creston's spending in 2019-20 was 6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
