Report: Hardin County School District spent $9,758 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Hardin County Community Unit School District 1 was up 13.3 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Hardin County school district spent $8,615 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,758 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 603 to 519 students over the same period.

Hardin County's spending in 2019-20 was 32.7 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
