Report: Cornell School District spent $13,326 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Cornell Community Consolidated School District 426 was up 22.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Livingston County school district spent $10,857 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,326 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 102 to 103 students over the same period.

Cornell's spending in 2019-20 was 8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
