Report: Roxana School District spent $13,521 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Roxana Community Unit School District 1 was up 11.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Madison County school district spent $12,118 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,521 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,978 to 1,815 students over the same period.

Roxana's spending in 2019-20 was 6.7 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
