Report: Central School District spent $9,611 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Central Community Unit School District 3 was up 10.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Adams County school district spent $8,702 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,611 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 887 to 851 students over the same period.

Central's spending in 2019-20 was 33.7 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
