Report: Calhoun School District spent $10,568 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Calhoun Community Unit School District 40 was down 12.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Calhoun County school district spent $12,098 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,568 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 434 to 480 students over the same period.

Calhoun's spending in 2019-20 was 27.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
