Report: Harvard School District spent $13,136 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Harvard Community Unit School District 50 was up 18.3 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Mchenry County school district spent $11,101 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,136 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 2,518 to 2,679 students over the same period.

Harvard's spending in 2019-20 was 9.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
