Report: Channahon School District spent $11,096 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Channahon School District 17 was up 15.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Will County school district spent $9,588 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,096 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,267 to 1,215 students over the same period.

Channahon's spending in 2019-20 was 23.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
