Report: Taft School District spent $9,922 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Taft School District 90 was up 8.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Will County school district spent $9,131 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,922 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 345 to 271 students over the same period.

Taft's spending in 2019-20 was 31.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
