Report: Pontiac School District spent $12,042 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Pontiac Community Consolidated School District 429 was up 20.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Livingston County school district spent $9,977 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,042 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,225 to 1,202 students over the same period.

Pontiac's spending in 2019-20 was 16.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
