Report: Tamaroa School District spent $21,200 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Tamaroa School District 5 was up 118.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Perry County school district spent $9,699 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $21,200 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 114 to 84 students over the same period.

Tamaroa's spending in 2019-20 was 46.3 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
