Report: Princeton School District spent $9,930 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Princeton Elementary School District 115 was up 14.3 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Bureau County school district spent $8,686 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,930 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,186 to 1,158 students over the same period.

Princeton's spending in 2019-20 was 31.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
