This move by Trump is perceived as controversial, with concerns that it may reduce opportunities for students across the country. The American Federation of Teachers (AFT), led by Weingarten, has expressed opposition to this proposed change.
The AFT leadership team also includes Secretary-Treasurer Fedrick C. Ingram and Executive Vice President Evelyn DeJesus. The organization has made it clear that any use of their materials, including photographs and text, requires permission.
