Megan Degenfelder State Superintendent of Public Instruction | Wyoming Department of Education

The Wyoming Department of Education is inviting public comment on its Federal Fiscal Year 2025 Annual State Application under Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and its proposed use of funds. The deadline for submitting comments is April 21, at 11:59 p.m.

The application and an accompanying interactive spreadsheet outline how Wyoming plans to utilize IDEA funds to support special education and related services for children with disabilities. The IDEA is a federal mandate ensuring eligible children with disabilities receive a free appropriate public education. To qualify for federal IDEA funding, each state must submit an application along with a description of fund usage to the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs.
