During the event, the importance of financial education was emphasized, aligning with Representative Hill-Evans' resolution, H.R. 120, which is currently before the House Finance Committee.
Auditor General DeFoor highlighted the significance of financial literacy, stating, "Financial literacy is an important life skill that every person needs to learn to set themselves up for future success." He expressed gratitude towards Representative Hill-Evans for her efforts in advocating this initiative.
By working collaboratively, the group aims to enhance financial security in Pennsylvania and raise awareness about financial literacy throughout the commonwealth. "I'd like to thank Representative Hill-Evans for being an advocate and recognizing the importance of financial literacy through her resolution declaring that April is Financial Literacy Month in the commonwealth. By continuing to work together, we are one step closer to making Pennsylvania more financially secure," concluded DeFoor.
