The Wyoming Department of Education has announced the launch of the Education Service Provider (ESP) application for entities seeking to participate in the Wyoming ESA Program. This initiative, set to commence at 1 p.m. MDT on April 1, allows organizations interested in providing educational goods or services to apply via the ESA website. Schools, including online institutions and colleges intending to charge ESA students tuition and fees, must email wde-esa@wyo.gov to acquire a custom registration link.

To assist providers and schools in navigating the program, the department is supplying an ESP Handbook and an FAQ document. Stakeholders are encouraged to sign up for ESA Updates to receive information on the latest developments.

The ESA program, originating from the Wyoming Education Savings Account Act of 2024, was later revised by the Steamboat Legacy Scholarship Act and officially enacted on March 4, 2025. The program aims to offer families increased educational options for their children from pre-kindergarten through grade 12.

Eligible students will receive an annual subsidy of $7,000 starting in the 2025-26 school year. This funding is intended for various educational costs, such as private school tuition, curriculum, tutoring, extracurricular activities, and other sanctioned education-related expenses. All families with students in kindergarten through grade 12 are eligible for these scholarships regardless of their income level. For families with pre-kindergarten students, eligibility requires a household income at or below 250% of the federal poverty guidelines.
