The Shapiro Administration, along with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, is set to collaborate with York County officials to promote involvement in National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, which occurs on Saturday, April 26. This initiative encourages residents in Pennsylvania to safely dispose of unused prescription and over-the-counter medications at numerous secure locations across the state.
Key figures involved in this effort include Dr. Latika Davis-Jones, the Secretary of the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, Major General John Pippy from the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Sergeant Logan Brouse of the Pennsylvania State Police, Kara Bowser, Senior Counsel at the Office of Attorney General, Jonathan Bowman, Acting Deputy Secretary of the Department of Aging, and Michael Muldrow, the York City Police Commissioner.
The event will take place on April 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the York City Police Department, located at 50 West King Street, York, PA 17401.
Visuals will include a take-back box and a collection truck from the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, both of which will be present at the site.
