Governor Josh Shapiro and First Lady Lori Shapiro, joined by their family and celebrity chef Robert Irvine, are scheduled to serve lunch at the Harrisburg Bureau of Fire Station 1. This gesture is meant to express gratitude to the firefighters who responded to the recent arson attack at the Governor's Residence.
Governor Shapiro has emphasized his support for firefighters in Pennsylvania. His 2025-2026 Budget Proposal includes a call for an additional $30 million in competitive grants aimed at assisting the state’s fire companies.
The event is planned for Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the Harrisburg Bureau of Fire Station 1, located at 1820 N. 6th Street, Harrisburg, PA. Members of the press must RSVP for this event by providing names and contact information for their team.
