Lt. Gov. Austin Davis, alongside Pennsylvania Department of Aging Secretary Jason Kavulich, will gather with local leaders in Southwest Pennsylvania to discuss initiatives aimed at creating age-friendly communities. The objective is to encourage civic planning that enables older Pennsylvanians to access necessary services and lead dignified lives.

Attendees will hear presentations about age-friendly community models, their successes, and benefits for older demographics. This event is part of the broader Age-Friendly PA initiative, which is incorporated into a strategic plan named Aging Our Way, PA. This plan aspires to transform service delivery for Pennsylvanians' health and well-being as they age.

Notable figures expected at the event include Lt. Gov. Austin Davis, Secretary of Aging Jason Kavulich, Congresswoman Summer Lee, Senator Nick Pisciottano, and others invested in the cause. The event is scheduled for April 17, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Penn State Greater Allegheny in McKeesport.
