Pennsylvania's Department of Aging is set to host a reception highlighting the artistic contributions of older Pennsylvanians. The event will be attended by Secretary of Aging Jason Kavulich and PA Council on the Arts chairwoman Susan Cohen. This gathering celebrates the participants of the inaugural Older Artists of PA Showcase, which features 30 artworks created by individuals aged 60 and above.

The showcased pieces were chosen from over 500 submissions by regional panels across Pennsylvania. These works are currently displayed in the State Capitol East Wing Rotunda and will remain there until the end of May, aligning with the national observance of Older Americans Month.

Secretary Jason Kavulich expressed his involvement alongside Susan Cohen, while Lenore Fiore-Mills, an artist from Lackawanna County, is also mentioned as part of the event. The reception is scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the State Capitol East Wing Rotunda in Harrisburg.

Media personnel interested in covering this event must RSVP by sending their details to agingcomms@pa.gov.
