Attorney General announces LETI program expansion in Cumberland and Perry counties

Attorney General Dave Sunday has announced the expansion of the Law Enforcement Treatment Initiative (LETI) in Cumberland and Perry Counties. This initiative, led by law enforcement, aims to assist residents seeking treatment for substance use disorder. It allows individuals to contact the Cumberland-Perry County Drug and Alcohol Program without fear of arrest.

The announcement took place at 11:00 AM on May 22, 2025, at the Historic Cumberland County Courthouse in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The program involves collaboration between local law enforcement, county officials, and community stakeholders.

The event was attended by several key figures including Sean McCormack, District Attorney of Cumberland County; Clay Merris, District Attorney of Perry County; Brenda Iliff-Lawver from the Cumberland-Perry Drug & Alcohol Commission; Christopher Raubenstine, Chief of Police for Silver Spring Township; and a person in recovery.

Media personnel were required to RSVP to attend the event which began with arrivals starting at 10:30 AM.
