Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding and Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Rick Siger are set to kick off the 2025 Scooped: An Ice Cream Trail at Destiny Dairy Bar. The event marks the beginning of June as dairy month, highlighting Pennsylvania's dairy and tourism industries.

The initiative connects farm families with ice cream enthusiasts through a partnership involving the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture's PA Preferred program, DCED's Tourism Office, and the Center for Dairy Excellence. This year's trail includes 51 creameries across Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania offers six culinary trails that encourage families to explore local farms while creating lasting memories. Governor Josh Shapiro has proposed a $13 million increase in the Agricultural Innovation Grant program in his 2025-26 budget to support farms statewide.

The launch event will feature key figures such as Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding, Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Rick Siger, Pennsylvania Tourism Office Executive Director Kaitie Burger, and Destiny Dairy Bar Owner Amy Brickner.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 29 at 11 a.m., located at Destiny Dairy Bar in Carlisle, PA. Members of the press planning to attend should RSVP by contacting aginfo@pa.gov.
