Governor Josh Shapiro is set to sign House Bill 1431, repealing Pennsylvania's ban on Sunday hunting. The signing will take place at the Blue Ridge Sportsman Club in Harrisburg, marking a significant bipartisan achievement.

The new law aims to expand recreational opportunities for hunters and facilitate family hunting activities on Sundays. It is also expected to increase revenue from hunting license sales, contributing to wildlife conservation efforts in the state.

Joining Governor Shapiro at the event will be Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding, Steve Smith of the PA Game Commission, Craig Coble from Blue Ridge Sportsman Club, Representative Mandy Steele, and Dan Sneath of Hunter Nation.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 11:30 AM and will be live-streamed online. Press members interested in attending must RSVP with their details.
