Superintendent Megan Degenfelder has announced the appointment and re-appointment of three members to the Wyoming Charter School Authorizing Board. The individuals selected are Steve Lupien, Jill Bramlet, and Joe Feiler.
“Steve, Jill, and Joe are all independently qualified charter school advocates. Each brings unique and exceptional expertise to the board through their collective decades of school and business leadership throughout the state and all over the world. I have no doubt that by working together they will bring innovative and quality charter schools to the state,” said State Superintendent Degenfelder.
Steve Lupien is a prominent figure in blockchain policy and education, serving as the Ada Lovelace Director at the University of Wyoming’s Center for Blockchain and Digital Innovation. He also lectures on blockchain, digital assets, and cryptocurrency at UW's College of Business. Lupien has played a significant role in advancing Wyoming's position in digital asset innovation. His achievements include co-authoring "Blockchain Fundamentals for Web 3.0" and co-founding BeefChain, an agricultural traceability platform approved by USDA. Previously an executive with Five Star Products, IMS Ltd./Land O’Lakes, and AT&T, Lupien was also Executive Director of the Digital Asset Trade Association. He currently serves on several boards including Intersect, Wyoming Cyber Action Network, CyberWyoming, and the Digital Ledger Governance Association. Additionally, he leads the annual Wyoming Blockchain Stampede.
Lupien initially joined the board in September 2024 to fill a vacancy and is now appointed for a new term.
